Long Term Care

The Long Term Care Division of Kings Pharmacy serves the needs of a diverse population of patients in a variety of settings. In addition to the accuracy and attention that each individual prescription requires, the pharmacy staff recognizes the fact that each facility must comply with various state licensing regulations. Throughout the years, additional staff trainings and consultant education has been implemented to keep up with the ongoing changes in both federal healthcare mandates and state licensing standards.

Kings Pharmacy offers a wide range of medication packaging, custom tailored to make your medication passes more efficient and accurate. A Kings pharmacist will work with your facility representative to develop a program best suited to meet the needs of your individual patients. Sample packaging options available include:

  • The Parata PASS (Patient Adherence Strip System)
  • Bubble packing (Bingo card/Unit dose packing)
  • Calendar/daily packing
  • Day program separation
  • Vials
  • Other packaging options available upon request

Kings Pharmacy will provide medication administration sheets (MARs) and assist your facility with compliance tracking. The newly upgraded computer system will allow designated individuals at your organization to access MARs throughout the month to monitor changes and report these to the pharmacy.

QuickMAR by PointClickCare Electronic (eMAR) systems are also available through our pharmacy interface with QuickMAR by PointClickCare. Kings Pharmacy also offers the ELINK Portal system, which further assists our healthcare partners in managing the needs of their patients.

Once a decision is made to transfer your patients/clients into our service, Kings Pharmacy will provide a designated professional assigned specifically to assist with your transition into the long term care division, and get you acquainted and comfortable with the procedures needed to meet your facility needs. Staff will travel to your facility to assist with:

  • Patient demographic entry
  • Medication and prescription review
  • Training on Kings Pharmacy protocol
  • Patient education and disease management opportunities
